Tai Tapu Garden
Naturalistic sweeps of grasses and perennials are arranged around the new contemporary barn-style home, creating a soft contrast to the architecture.
This rural garden is framed by mature trees and the surrounding farmland. A broad lawn extends to an established orchard enclosed by clipped hedging, beyond which looser plantings transition down to the river, planted with a mix of native and exotic waterside species. Tawny autumn and winter tones blend seamlessly with the adjacent paddocks, while existing macrocarpa along the southern boundary provide a strong evergreen backdrop. An outdoor dining area and hot tub are nestled within the garden, with future plans for a swimming pool and expanded naturalistic planting.
